Alison has just completed her first year at Jesus College, studying Classics. She made a glittering start to her theatrical career at school, playing a male chorus member in Guys and Dolls, creating a shrub for A Midsummer Night's Dream, and setting off pyrotechnics in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Meanwhile she made annual appearances as a ballerina with the Eden Dance Centre, playing, among other things, a dinosaur, the Nutcracker angel and a piece of DNA. Alison has continued her involvement in theatre at Cambridge, first touring with the European Theatre Group as a Fresher Technician at the end of her first term. Having decided that gaining an intimate knowledge of the workings of a stage-light was not for her, she went on to be props manager for the Marlowe Society's production of Serious Money at Cambridge Arts Theatre, and is now Assistant Tour Manager (or Sophie's Minion) for this year's Footlights tour, as well as stage managing the Cambridge performances. In the future, Alison would like to work in the theatre and have lots of children and cats.
