Derek supposedly learned his craft at Selwyn College, Cambridge, where he read Music, and at the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music. In truth, he's had more experience playing and arranging for numerous shows and bands. A keen drummer by nature, Derek has taken the unprecedentedly sensible move of getting a proper job to fill the gaps between gigs. He has absolutely no idea where his career might be headed and is grateful for any offers of help or royal patronage.
